Dr. Alex WH Leow (Liao) | Female

Dr. Alex WH Leow (Liao) is a board certified psychiatrist. Dr. Liao received her medical education in Taiwan, and a PhD in Biomathematics at UCLA, where she also completed post-graduate training in research at the world famous Laboratory of Neuro Imaging and clinical training in psychiatry at the Neuropsychiatric Institute of UCLA. She currently practices psychiatry with Community Psychiatry, and in 2009 joined the faculty of the Departments of Psychiatry and Bioengineering at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Having co-authored more than 70 scientific articles, Dr. Liao's research interests are in the development of computational neuroimaging techniques and the imaging of neurodegenerative diseases. Besides clinical practice and research, Dr. Liao enjoys playing classical piano as both an amateur soloist and a chamber musician.
