Raja Dutta M.D. is a board certified Psychiatrist. Dr. Dutta earned his medical degree at the University of Malaya and started off his medical career as an Ob/Gyn in the United Kingdom and Malaysia. He completed his Psychiatric residency training at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington D.C. where he served as the chief resident. His area of interest is the management of Schizophrenia and mood disorders. He is also interested in outpatient adult psychiatry especially psychodynamic psychotherapy and psycho pharmacotherapy. He believes that the mentally ill are underserved in all areas of life, especially medical care, and that the way forward is to address this one individual at a time. After hours, he enjoys playing tennis and writing (fiction).
