Shawn Barton Hersevoort, M.D. | Male

Dr. Hersevoort has extensive education and training in both the biological and psychological aspects of mental health. He holds undergraduate degrees in both biochemistry and clinical psychology from University of California Davis and California State University Sacramento, and a Master’s in Public Health in International Health and Development from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. His medical degree is from Tulane University School of Medicine. His psychiatric training was completed at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. Dr. Hersevoort has work experience in virtually all environments of mental health services. In the past 5 years, these have included consultation or teaching relationships with the inpatient services at Alta Bates, in Berkeley, the Consultation-Liaison service at the University of California at San Francisco, and the emergency department at John George Psychiatric Pavilion in San Leandro. As of 2009, Dr. Hersevoort has been elected as a Councilor-at-Large for the Northern California Psychiatric Society, which is the American Psychiatric Association division for Northern California. He is currently on staff at California Pacific Medical Center as an adjunct professor of psychiatry.
