Arturo Villamor, M.D. is a graduate of Saint Louis University, Philippines and is Board Certified in Psychiatry. He completed his Adult Psychiatry
residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University MCV in Richmond, Virginia where he served as the chief resident. After residency, he managed
the Medical Psychiatric acute unit at Woodland Memorial Hospital where he honed his skills in managing acute Schizophrenia, Bipolar illness and
Depression for 4 years. His outpatient practice consists of children, adolescent and adults where he integrates both medication management and
psychotherapy. Currently, he serves as the Medical Director of Yolo County Alcohol Drug and Mental Health. His special interest is in psychodynamic
psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. He strongly believes that effective management of psychiatric illness
should consist of psychodynamic understanding of a person as a whole in order to achieve optimum success.
