o decades. Jonathan promotes mental health wellness by combining talk therapy, medication management, diet, exercise, and understanding your life’s narrative/story. He recognizes the importance of working against the stigma tied to mental illness and strives to provide a supportive setting for individuals regardless of gender, orientation, culture, race or religion. After he completed his undergraduate work at the University of Virginia and Guilford College, he received his adult psychiatric mental health education from the University of California, San Diego. While at the University of Virginia, Jonathan co-founded the International Healthcare Outreach Organization with trips to El Salvador. He has also participated in multiple Habitat for Humanity projects.

l school training at D. Y. Patil Medical School, Pune, India. In 2018, she graduated as an adult psychiatrist from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, North Carolina. It was during her training that Dr. Deshmukh became motivated to pursue child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She graduated as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in 2019. Dr. Deshmukh is also a member of various professional associations – APA, AACAP, NAMI. In addition, she is interested in clinical research and this led her to earn a Master’s degree in Public Health- Epidemiology from the University of Texas, Houston.
At Community Psychiatry, Dr. Deshmukh’s practice will include treating children, adolescents, and adults. Her aim is towards providing comprehensive patient and family-centered clinical care. She addresses bio-psycho-social determinants affecting mental health along with delivering evidence-based mental health care. Her efforts to create and promote mental health awareness and fight the stigma associated with mental health illnesses will continue during her practice.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and she is an enthusiastic traveler.
