l Health as a DNP.
Beth brings years of experience in multiple facets of healthcare to our team. She practiced for 10 years as an emergency medicine/trauma RN in a Level 2 Trauma/Emergency Center in the largest medical facility in North Dakota. While there, she specialized in assessing & caring for those with severe mental illness with labile and unpredictable behaviors. Beth also provided SANE care for sexual assault patients of various ages including the collection of forensic evidence, assessments, and follow-up care. Beth has also served as a forensic death investigator for the county coroner which included collecting relevant information at homicide, suicide, natural or accidental death scenes.
Further psychiatric experiences for Beth were completed at a Veterans hospital and a local, yet sizable, psychiatric hospital; inclusive of inpatient/outpatient experience and caring for both adolescent/ adult populations with varying degrees of mental illness and substance abuse. Care included medication management and follow up, accompanied by social skills training and psychotherapy in fluctuating patient populations, from the traumatic/acute to the stabilized/chronic.
Originally from ND, Beth enjoys traveling, music, and spending time with her loved ones; especially her nieces and nephews. She loves the innovative and unrefined creativity & potential that California and the West Coast have to offer and she looks forward to continuing her journey in healthcare on a patient-centric team with a strong mission and solid values.
