Basant Nassar, M.D.
Basant Nassar, M.D. is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. She received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She remained at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital where she completed a residency in General Adult Psychiatry. During residency, she was actively involved in research and has presented her work at numerous regional and national conferences. Additionally, Dr. Nassar developed a passion for mentoring children and young adults, which led her to pursue a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. where she served as Chief Fellow. During her fellowship, she was the recipient of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Systems of Care Award. Moreover, she has experience working in an inpatient mental health setting treating acute psychiatric conditions.
Dr. Nassar primarily treats child and adolescent youth with most psychiatric conditions including, but not limited to, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Mood and Psychotic Spectrum Disorders.
