Brian Elledge, D.O.

Brian Elledge, D.O. graduated from Brigham Young University in Utah before attending A.T. Still University – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. His psychiatry residency training took place in fabulous Las Vegas through the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Prior to joining Community Psychiatry, Dr. Elledge worked with various forensic units, jails, prisons, community health centers, and rural clinics in both Nevada and California.
Dr. Elledge’s approach to treating patients is personalized and caring, with special emphasis given to the safe and evidence-based prescribing of medications. His use of benzodiazepines (e.g. Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, Ativan) and stimulants (e.g. Ritalin, Adderall) is particularly limited and careful, after having treated hundreds of patients successfully without the aid of these potentially habit-forming controlled substances. Dr. Elledge is certified as a Master Psychopharmacologist with Distinction through the Neuroscience Education Institute.
Although his passion for skateboarding has diminished somewhat with age, Dr. Elledge now finds joy spending time with his spouse and children, mentoring and volunteering in his community, taking road trips, and sampling international foods, television shows, and movies.
