Denine A. Baldor, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Denine Baldor is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 10+ years of clinical experience. She first received her Masters in Adult Psychiatry at the Yale School of Nursing followed by a Fellowship with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates serving a general community population. Next, she spent some time working in Forensic Psychiatry at the state and local jails of Massachusetts treating a full-spectrum of incarcerated individuals struggling with chronic mental illness. Her love of the outdoors brought her to California where she spent 6+ years working at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System where she not only became proficient in PTSD and Veterans’ issues but was also trained in the evidence-based behavioral management of insomnia and specialized in complex chronic pain. She feels passionate about the destigmatization of mental illness and provides a safe, non-judgmental space for her patients to explore all manner of challenging issues. Her patients are gently guided to learn more about themselves, their motivations, core beliefs, and ways to improve their connections to others. She considers family and personal history, biology, social environment, and support network when approaching the unique care needs of each individual. Denine enjoys just about any adventure she comes across. When she’s not in the clinic or working on home improvement projects, she’s hiking the nearby hills with her rescue dog Milton or skiing the slopes of the Sierras.
