About Gary Stablein, M.D.

Dr. Stablein uses an integrative approach to help his patients achieve improved mental health and well being. He works with individuals who have depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, psychotic disorders, unresolved traumas, concentration difficulties, unfulfilling relationships, and impairments with academic and professional performance. His treatment approach is to build an emotionally safe setting, understand the patient, and work with them to build on their strengths. He uses a combination of health and wellness principles, psychodynamic techniques, mindfulness, and if indicated, medication management. Collaboratively, he develops a customized treatment plan to optimize the patient’s personal health and quality of life.

Dr. Stablein is a board eligible general adult psychiatrist. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Biology. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. He graduated with a dual degree from UCI Irvine School of Medicine’s MD/MBA Program. He completed his psychiatry residency at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

In his spare time, Dr. Stablein enjoys listening to music, visiting farmer’s markets, traveling, and spending time with family.
