Sanjay Masson, M.D.
Sanjay Masson, M.D. is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist and board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. He also obtained his Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University in New York and worked as a pharmacist prior to pursuing his Medical Education. He has also served in The Army Medical Corp. with a rank of Captain.
He received his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Masson completed the first three years of his adult psychiatry residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan New York, and then moved on to complete his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital, one of the nation’s leading institutes in children’s mental health. He has multiple years of experience in private practice and inpatient psychiatry. He worked as a staff psychiatrist in the community at Bakersfield Behavior Health Hospital and Ventura County Medical Center. His expertise is in psychopharmacology and practicing evidence-based treatments in children, adolescents, and young adults. His area of interest includes ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, disruptive behavior, autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and new onset psychosis as well as providing parenting and behavioral strategies. He has a thorough knowledge of pharmacological science as it is related to treating psychiatric illnesses and stays up to date with current literature on new treatments.Request Appointment
