Thomas Johnson, M.D.

Doctor Johnson received his Bachelor of Sciences degree at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California. He received his Medical Degree and completed his residency at the University of California, Irvine. After completing his residency, Doctor Johnson continued to work as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California Medical Center in Orange County, California where he participated in a number of clinical trials and publications.
Doctor Johnson has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including Psychiatric Consultation and Liaison, Forensics, Emergency Services, Outpatient Services, Long Term Care, and the Veterans Administration. He has also been involved in numerous successful clinical trials including the pharmacological treatment of stuttering.
Doctor Johnson has a strong dedication to educating his patients about treatment options and medication side effects. He believes this foundation is essential to patients making informed and autonomous decisions regarding their treatment.
Doctor Johnson believes that the best outcomes are obtained through the use of a multidisciplinary approach, and encourages working in conjunction with both primary care providers and other mental health professionals to achieve the most well-balanced treatment outcome.
In his free time, Doctor Johnson enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, as well as SCUBA diving and playing guitar.
